Work Becomes Fun Again

Client Description
President of Real Estate Development and Management Co. -- Kentucky

Challenge
Client was depressed following termination of major business relationship and was not professionally focused on emerging development business. Company was overstaffed and underperforming, using antiquated systems.

Insight
High quality image was suffering and beginning to decline as a result of under-challenged personnel and declining professionalism. Business had hit "critical point" and was in danger of failing.

Solutions/Results
Working Order led analysis of all systems and procedures as well as evaluation of priorities and values. Parallel Project Management System was instituted thus integrating electronic and hard copy communication and documentation. New standards, systems and procedures were instituted emphasizing simplification and usage of document templates. Staff was re-oriented, retrained and re-motivated.

Client has now fully integrated development and management functions, thus reducing staff and overhead by nearly 40%. Company is focused and priorities are clearly established and understood. Company status has gone from "threatened" through "stabilized" to "growing".

Client Comment
"I held onto my old ways until they nearly destroyed me. It took a major crisis to make me seek out and listen to professional advice. You have drug me, kicking and screaming, into the 21st century and I'm learning to love my work all over again. I'm now able to deliver a higher quality product and service than my competition and the resulting excellence makes work fun again."
